Ladies, do share with me your findings on the best make up so far. I know there isn't 'the best of the best' but based on your experiences in purchasing and using makeup (khas bagi mereka yang beli dan pakai makeup je ye. yang suke beli tapi tak pakai tak main.kekeke), which are the better brands or those you love the most.

MY MAKE UP REGIME

* bila time ada function/special occasion je. hari-hari biasa pakai bedak je (^_^)

Step 1 - Moisturise

If you ladies have read my recent entry on Tips Kecantikan - Kulit Mulus Bak Telur, (kalau belum baca, pi baca skarang eh) you would notice that at the point of time I was using 'Stem Organics: Balancing Face Fluid' as a moisturiser.

For your information, I'm currently trying out this Organic Aid: Vitamin E Moisturising Cream since it work wonders for me at reducing the appearance of my scars. Betul, dulu-dulu time belaja takde duit, vitamin E cream ni pun cukup bagus. Sebab tu sampai sekarang parut jerawat dah tak ada. :')

Step 2 - Apply Foundation

My favourite has always been Maybelline: Clear Smooth Gel Foundation in Natural Beige. Texture is soft so it glides smoothly on my face and its lightweight gel helps a lot to moisturise my skin and prevent pores blockage which causes blemishes & pimples. Since my skin was diagnosed with mild eczema, i can tolerate any foundation which uses oil or cream as its base. No, no...seriously. I tried M.A.C and developed massive blemishes later. aarrgghh!!!

Cara apply foundation:

- Gunakan sapuan arah atas (upward strokes) untuk sapuan yang sama rata.

- Jangan lupa sapukan juga pada kelopak mata dan bibir. Ini untuk memastikan eyeshadow dan lipstick anda kekal lagi lama jika disapu foundation terlebih dahulu.

- Oh, tolong...tolong..tolong la jangan lupa sapukan foudation sekali pada leher. Buruk benor ler kalau nampak muka tu cerah tapi leher gelap. huhu. T_T

Step 3 - Apply Eyeshadow

I am NO expert when it comes to applying eye shadow. But I do know a few shading techniques and simple application. I don't have a favourite brand. I like the pallete type. So, lebih banyak pilihan warna. My eyeshadow ranges from M.A.C, Maybelline (tapi tak tahan lama), Loreal, Dior, Silky Girl dll.

My tips -->> when it comes to buying eyeshadow I would test the texture of the eyeshadow before buying. I would use my fingers and rub the eyeshadow between 2 fingers. If it feels powdery and rough -> DON'T BUY IT. These eyeshadows do NOT last long and we need to apply a lot to see the color. A good eyeshadow should feel silky and powdery.

More tips -->> Using a brush to apply eyeshadow is much easier especially when you want to do shading. :)

Step 4 - Eyeliner & Mascara

I love eyeliners. I wear them almost everyday. My favourites are SilkyGirl Crayon Eyeliner - sebab mata halus. And Liquid eyeliner is In2It Liquid Eyeliner - sebab brush dia sharp and senang nak remove.

Eyeliners really amplify your eyes and make it look big and lively. Between liquid and pencil/crayon...i love them both. But I use it according to where I am going. Liquid will give my eyes a cat-ty look since it draws much finer lines. Where as pencil/crayon will give me a doe (bambi the anak rusa) look. Mata besar! (^_^)

Eyeliner Tips -->> Use black if you really want the focus on your eyes. But make sure you use a lighter lipstick with it. The key is to focus on one asset. Whether eyes, lips or cheek. Don't over-do you makeup by amplifying all your assets. Trust me, you'll look like Opera Cina. haha!

More Tips -->> To avoide smudges and messiness while drawing a line, try pulling the corners oy you eyes outward (macam buat sepet mata cina.hehe) when you're drawing. It smoothes out any creases and it's easier to draw then.

For mascara my all time favourite is Clinique: Lash Power - because it gives me high definition curves (mind you, bulu mata I jenis straight gile) and doesn't stain you face when you remove it. So, no more panda eyes. hehe! Another cheaper alternative is the Maybelline Sky High Curves (alar, yang ada Dato' Siti tu..) but I don't know if its still in the market.

Mascara Tips --> When applying mascara, stroke the wand upwards in a zig-zag motion. It helps reduce clumps and clotting. And don't forget to lightly apply to your bottom lashes to make your eyes look bigger.

*Note: Kalau pakai eyeshadow, please LINE your eyes or USE a mascara. If not, your look is incomplete. Macam tak siap.

Step 5 - Blusher

I am not fussy when it comes to blusher. But I'll make sure I have 2 tones. A lighter one for day wear and darker one for night wear. For my blusher I use the L'oreal: Blush Delice and if I want a more natural look I'll use my Benefit:Bene-tint for Lips & Cheek. I simply love Bene-tint cause it's made from crushed rose petals and the color will blend according to your blood. Plus, it smells so nice :)

Step 6 - Lipbalm & Lipstick

Since I have very dry lips, I would always apply a dab of Vaseline: Lip Balm in Cherry first before applying my lipstick. Like most girls, I have a collection of lipstick ranging from various colors from many brands. Amongst my favourite - Maybelline: Water Shine 3D Collagen, M.A.C, In2It, Bobbi Brown etc.

Step 7 - Loose Powder

Last but not least, I will apply a thin layer of loose powder on my face to avoid it from shine during midday. For this I use SilkyGirl: Silky White
